Do low voltage lighting transformers output in DC or AC. I'm thinking they may be a good source of inexpensive power supplies for 12 volt pneumatic solenoids, if their output is DC.

I believe anything that is considered low voltage is DC. I have low voltage outdoor lighting at my house, and it is all DC. Just make sure you get the correct voltage.

What are you using the solenoids for?
