I have several of those 4 buck 250 watt halogen specials from homies. I actually dont mind the heat from them since it was 7 degress last night:-D I could never imagine being working with those kind of lights in the summer though, that would be brutal. When they get hot, I need to be careful to let them cool before moving, the filaments are very delicate when left on a long time.

OK the Safety and work wear categories have been added to the jobsite section. You can add flashlights to the cordless lights section. Most job radios are cordless and can go in the cordless other section... if not cordless it can go in the power tools other section.

I am not sure about books and DVDs yet.

For some reason empty category pages do not show up, but you can add your entries from the section page.

I just remember hearing they let the B&D contractor stuff go south when they started to push/launch the new Dewalt stuff as their contractor line.

I think they incorporated the Black & Decker Professional/Industrial line into the Dewalt model line up in 1992. The DW364 is a direct descendant of the B&D. The B&D Industrial drill line, also was converted from grey to yellow plastic. They were good drills. Dewalt "value engineered" them down to what they offer today.
I believe Black and Decker no longer produced "pro" tools after that switch to Dewalt.

Whats funny is when I bought my first cordless impact (a Makita 12v) about 8 years ago, I was criticized by one of the older co-workers, because it was made in Japan. He said I should have bought DeWalt. Well at the time Makita was the only one that made a cordless impact, and his DeWalt Drill wasn't even made in the USA.

Now all he owns is Makita cordless tools, and a Hilti impact that I broke when it fell off the 3rd step of a 4ft ladder.

It is hard to be brand loyal when each brand has at least a few dogs in their line up. Much better to pick off the cream of the crop from each of the manufacturers.

Once you have had to deal with inadequate tools, you will really appreciate quality. They don't alway make a better product, but they usually make it easier.

Maybe it is custom built? That table saw built in looks pretty sweet. I found this place, but it might be more then what your are looking for. http://www.tooltrailer.com

But its cool enough for me to blog about it tomorrow :)

I'm a big fan of Amazon too, for years I just saw them as just a CD, Book store kinda place, I remember being a little thrown back seeing tools on there for the first time.
It's interesting seeing the prices dip and shoot back up, like stocks. Nextag provides product pricing history and Firefox use to have an extension that would watch certain product prices then alert me.
I find myself using the super savings shipping, if I'm not at 25bucks, I will add something. I think the last time I was buying Bosch Jigsaw blades, was 4 bucks short, so I added a pair of Dewalt safety glasses, and that put me over the hump to get the free shipping.

I dont like to show my last name on most sites, and showing Real Names here would in most cases show your full name.

Some new Review Apps have been added, you can install these on the apps page.

Everything is still a work in progress, so you can expect things to move around.

Until user avatars can be worked into the reviews and comments system, I will continue to use the old user profile system. It may take a while until the avatars make it into the forums.
